Robert Arena, Esq. is an attorney with over 30 years of experience. For almost nine years Mr. Arena was an Assistant District Attorney with the Special Victims Unit in Queens County. During that time Mr. Arena handled numerous high exposure Sex Crimes cases including The State of New York v. Victor Lopez the first case in New York Sate utilizing DNA fingerprinting securing a conviction in 1988. The Lopez case is a landmark case which opened the door for the use of DNA fingerprinting technique to be accepted throughout the country.
Thereafter, Mr. Arena was an associate in major law firms specializing in defending physicians and medical facilities on medical malpractice actions along with all types of personal injury actions for six years. During that time Mr. Arena obtained the unique skill, knowledge and insight to handling these actions from the defendant’s perspective. With this “inside” knowledge, Mr. Arena knows exactly what the attorneys representing these defendants will do.
Mr. Arena started his own practice in 1997 representing plaintiffs who are people who were injured as a result of medical malpractice, nursing home abuse, auto accidents, slip and fall injuries and construction site accidents.
